An SOS reaches everyone in your circle at once with your live location, then ORBII members nearby. Joining a circle takes a code only you can hand out.
Six letters, and the alphabet has no I, O, Q or S in it. Somebody reading a code down a phone line says "oh" for a zero, so those letters were removed.
There is no server in the listening path, so there is no copy of your voice to leak or sell. Your route is kept for a week so it can be retraced, then deleted.

ORBII (also written ORBII Safety) is a women's personal-safety app for India built around hands-free Voice SOS. In an emergency you simply say a word out loud, "help", "bachao", or "madad", and ORBII alerts your trusted circle with your live location, even with the phone locked and even offline. The word is recognised on your own device, so listening audio is never uploaded, and your location is never sold. It is live on Google Play and free to start.
Yes. "ORBII" and "ORBII Safety" are the same product, a hands-free voice-SOS women's safety app for India. Some people also type it as "Orbii" or "the ORBII app"; it all refers to the same app made by ORBII Safety.
ORBII listens on your device for a distress word like "help". The moment it hears it, a short countdown starts, and then your trusted circle is alerted with your live location and recording begins, all without you touching your phone.
No. Voice detection runs on your phone to recognise your trigger word, and that listening audio is never uploaded, streamed, or stored on a server. Audio leaves your phone in only two cases, and you choose both: when an SOS fires, its recording is saved to your private history so what happened exists afterwards; and if you volunteer for Voice Quests, you record a distress word yourself to help train our Indian-accent model. Voice Quests are off by default and you can withdraw whenever you like.
Not while ORBII is listening. Detection happens entirely on-device, so there is nothing there for us to leak or sell. The audio ORBII does hold is the recording from an SOS you raised, saved to your private history, and any Voice Quest clip you chose to send. Neither is ever sold.
Every SOS begins with a countdown you can cancel with a single tap, so a false alarm never reaches anyone. Accidental triggers are forgiven; real ones alert everyone the moment the countdown ends.
Yes. ORBII keeps listening in the background, so you are protected even with the screen off and the app closed. You never have to open the app first to get help.
Yes. Voice detection works offline. With no data, your SOS goes out as a text message with your location, and with no signal at all it can be relayed through a nearby phone running ORBII, which needs another ORBII phone in range.
Yes. The core safety features, Voice SOS, alerts to your trusted circle, and one-tap access to 112, are free for every woman. ORBII Plus (₹149/month) adds the everyday layer, such as live location on the map, safe zones and video during an SOS, and ORBII Family (₹499/month) covers up to four people you love.
Only the people you choose. Your location goes to your circle during an active SOS, during a Safe Journey, and while you have Circle sharing switched on. Circle sharing is off until you turn it on yourself, everyone in the circle can see who is currently visible, and your trail is deleted after 7 days. Nobody outside your circle ever sees it, and ORBII never sells location data to anyone.
No. ORBII helps you reach help faster, but in immediate danger you should always call 112. ORBII keeps that one tap away and shares your live location with the people you trust.
ORBII runs on Android 8.0 and above. An iPhone (iOS) version is planned but not available yet.

No. Voice detection is built to run efficiently in the background. Because nothing is streamed to a server, it uses far less power than apps that constantly send audio or location to the cloud.
English is built into the app. Hindi is a one time download you switch on, and after that both run on the phone, so you can call for help in the word that comes to you naturally in a moment of panic.
Every verified responder completes identity verification and a review before they can ever respond, and builds a rating through real responses. Verified responders are part of ORBII Plus; free users are alerted to their own trusted circle.
ORBII is built for a woman's own safety, on her terms. Listening audio never leaves your phone, you always see exactly who can view your location, and we never sell your data, which is the opposite of family-tracking apps caught selling users' location.
